We supply and install business grade IP based telephone solutions. For a description of what IP Telephony is please click here (What is IP telephony?). Unlike many other systems on the market our PBX comes completely fully loaded with all the features you could imagine. We can then configure your systen to your exact requirements. Because an IP based system uses the existing network cabling already available in your office no additional cabling is required. Each phone handset also has a smart pass-through feature so your phone and desktop PC can be connected to the network from a single network point. You can choose to have your inbound and outbound calls terminated either via VoIP or traditional methods such as PSTN, ISDN and ISDN 30. The choice is yours but either way you will have a modern system capable of taking advantage of the latest functionality.

With a traditional analogue or digital telephone system the connection between the telephone handset and the phone server (PBX) is made via a dedicated telephone cable. Therefore a dedicated cable is required for each handset. The convergence of networking and telephony does away with this enabling you to connect a telephone handset directly into an existing network port. The voice and command data is transmitted over the internal network by IP protcol to the phone server. This has the advantage of only requiring a single cable infrastructure within the building. Telephone handsets have two network ports - 1 for connection to the nearest network point and a 2nd to network enable another device such as a PC. This 'pass-through' port means you do not require additional network ports. |

Business Telephone Systems - IP Phones |

Modern phone systems use IP networks to connect the various parts such as the PBX server and IP Phones. The IP network is the same network used to connect your computers, printers and servers. This has the advantage of not requiring additional telecommunications cabling to be laid. IP Telephones offer far more features than standard analogue or digital telephones. The IP Phone communicates directly with the PBX server. The IP telephone has a LCD display that shows the status of the current call as well as any calls waiting to be answered. Additional information such as the phone extension number, username and status of any voice mail messages is clearly displayed. IP telephone systems are not as limited in the number of telephones that can be connected. Older systems have dedicated ports for telephones to connect to. Once you fill all of the available telephone ports you have reached your limit. With IP telephone systems the phone handsets communicate via a single network connection into the IP PBX server. Therefore a massive number of telephones can be connected to a single port. A small business can add additional phones as the business grows and demand increases. |
